Welcome to the Northern Voice Wiki

This site is part of the Northern Voice Conference. There's something special about it: it's a wiki, which means that anyone (yes, you!) can edit and add to it. Use the Edit link above to contribute! We encourage participation in all facets of Northern Voice and the creation of our local media. You will need to create an account first (we're hoping this will stop the wiki spam).

Conference 2012 June 15 - 16 at W2!

Ready for another year? We are!  The current list of proposed talks is on the Northern Voice 2012 Moosecamp page. If you want another page, just create one! Then link to it from this page to make it easy for people to find.

looking forward to this, but with some trepidation. is it going to be as much "by the people, for the people" as it says? is this conference REALLY going to embrace non-techies like me? oh well, i might as well psych myself up for a pleasant surprise.

Hi Isabella: We'll do our best. In 2005 and 2006, I think it worked out quite well. See you on Feb 23!

I attended in 2005, and it was virtually entirely untechie. There were of course geeks present, but it was NOT about the coding; it was about the human aspects of blogging, any and all of them. Even mommy blogging, gawd help us.

I went last year, and I think there was a great balance of tech/non-tech stuff. A lot of your experience is what you make it and how you get involved... Can't wait! :-)

What colour are the t-shirts this year? I wanted to grab one for a female friend.

I was at NV07 and I had a blast. People were welcoming and I've made new friends whom I'm looking forward to see again. You'll enjoy it Isabella.

Quick question, Roland (or to other organizers): I signed myself and my husband up for Day 2, but only had the option of entering my name when I registered. If he adds his name to the attendees list on the wiki, is that enough "officialness"? :-)

Can I ask here for some things to consider for next time?

1. A place to check your coat and bag
2. Much better coffee
3. Enough food at lunchtime

I love how we're all labelled Administrators.
But not how the datestamp omits the 'year'
:)
